PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Welcome to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) San Jose Younger Member Forum (SJ YMF)! The ASCE SJ YMF aims to support young civil engineers, typically those under the age of 35 or with less than ten years of professional experience. This organization provides opportunities for early career professionals to grow in the field of civil engineering and serve the community. I feel honored and thrilled to serve as the SJ YMF President for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
Throughout the years, I have worked with outstanding young professionals and supported the team’s endeavors to serve our community. My main goal for this term is to increase value to all ASCE SJ YMF members and showcase SJ YMF renewed commitment to support local civil engineers. I am delighted to announce that the SJ YMF is undergoing a restructure initiative that will better align with our team’s purpose and goals.
This year SJ YMF will be expanding its activities to inspire and engage young civil engineers through community outreach, university student engagement, and networking events. The intent of hosting these events is to foster connections within the profession and have fun in the process. You are welcome to join us at any of our upcoming events and meet the board that makes it all possible. Stay connected by signing up for our newsletter to be informed on all SJ YMF activities.
I look forward to a year filled with impactful community projects, memorable socials, and a stronger connection with ASCE student chapters. We encourage passionate individuals who want to play a more active role to join SJ YMF Board. It is a wonderful opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities and have a say in the direction SJ YMF is heading. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
