Crystal Mena, PE

​Crystal Mena, PE is the Vice President for the ASCE San Jose Younger Member Forum (YMF). Crystal currently works at Schaaf & Wheeler, where she works on water resources and modeling projects. Crystal has over 4+ years of work experience related to water resources, flood risk management and engineering design for water/sewer projects. Crystal earned her M.S. in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and her B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. Crystal's involvement with ASCE began in 2015 as a student before joining ASCE OC YMF in Southern California. After moving to the Bay Area, she has continued her involvement with ASCE by joining the San Jose YMF as Social Chair, Secretary, and Government Relations Chair. This year as Vice President and Government Relations chair, her goals are to develop wonderful friendships, improve communications, streamline internal operations and for the civil industry to stay informed about legislative activities. During her free time, Crystal enjoys spending time testing out new recipes, gardening and catching up with loved ones.
